What are the different types of Yoga you teach?
Amar teaches various types of yoga. As mentioned above he has completed his E-RYT in Hatha Yoga. He is also experienced in Ashtanga Yoga, Prenatal and Post Natal Yoga, Meditation, Pranayama and Yoga Therapy.
Traditional Hatha Yoga
Amar loves teaching traditional Hatha Yoga more than any other forms. Hatha Yoga is not an exercise. It is understanding the mechanics of the body and using asanas to drive your energy to the ultimate goal is what Hatha Yoga is all about.
Prenatal and Post Natal Yoga
Prenatal yoga consists of gentle variations of traditional postures that help during various stages of the development of the foetus during pregnancy. Post Natal yoga is practice of yoga post pregnancy.
Ashtanga Yoga is a more demanding form of yoga. If you don’t have prior experience in Yoga or other Physical activities or sports, then you should first practice Hatha Yoga and then start learning Ashtanga Yoga. Amar is an expert in Ashtanga Yoga
Meditation is an activity where an individual uses various techniques such as mindfulness or focusing his or her mind on particular object, thought or activity to train their mind to achieve a calm state.
Pranayama consists of various breathing techniques.
Amar provides personal yoga therapy sessions at Yog Gokul. He can treat all kinds of musculoskeletal problems through yoga. We use Medical Yoga and Restorative Yoga for treatment. Amar holds certification from Svyasa University.
Amar Srividya is currently a Yoga Teacher working with Yog Gokul. He has been training people of different age groups in Bangalore and has also conducted workshops in (Norway, Europe). Prior to this, he has about six years of work experience in the Human Resource Departments in the corporate sector. However he quit his corporate job to follow his passion with an objective to motivate and inspire people to connect with their inner self to explore one’s true potential.
